The Soul of Hollywood, 2006
The Soul of Hollywood is a generative sound and text installation which was created for ‘Blur of the Otherworldly’, at the Center for Art and Visual Culture in Baltimore, Maryland.
The work is composed of the sounds which are returned from a Hollywood Sound Effects database when the term ‘Spirit’ is input. These sounds are played back through resonators attached to 8 2.5′x5′ sheets of glass. The scrolling titles of the sounds are projected on one wall of the space.
